Where To Find Images

View our documentation in Web Guide that provides some resources for obtaining images to use on your web site.

Image Size

Optimizing images for website performance entails achieving the smallest file size possible while maintaining acceptable quality. This practice enhances page loading time, thereby improving user experience and SEO. However, it’s crucial to strike a balance, as small images may result in blurriness or pixelation.

When it comes to Cells, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution due to the array of options available. Each Cell option requires different image sizes, making it essential to tailor your images accordingly. While exact dimensions vary, this website offers examples to guide you in determining the ideal size for your Cell. Each example provided on the site includes the size of the images used.

Cell Placement Will Affect Image Size

Keep in mind that the placement of a Cell will significantly affect the image size needed. For instance, the space allocated to a Cell placed in the Featured Content area differs significantly from that of a page with left-hand navigation or one without it. A Cell placed in the Featured Content area will require a larger image than a Cell placed in the Body of a page that has left-hand navigation.

Responsive Images

Be cautious when using images featuring people, buildings, or other prominent elements. These components could get cropped or obscured by text, affecting the overall composition and message of your banner. Also, recognize that all Cells are responsive and that site visitors will view them from various screen sizes. Ensure that key components of your image remain visible and unobstructed, regardless of screen dimensions.
