Alicia was a PhD student in the Genetics and Molecular Biology (GMB) graduate program.聽 She and Yanzhe identified a new way in which cancer cells pathologically activate TLS to become DNA damage-tolerant.聽 Alicia was funded by an F31 fellowship from the NCI.
