Laquanda received second place n the 2016 Drew Walker Resident Paper Competition at the Surgical Section of the National Medical Association, “The Effects of Smoking Status on Burn Inhalation Injury Mortality”. Laquanda’s mentors in the NIH Trauma Fellowship Program are Dr. Bruce Cairns and Dr. Anthony Charles.
