North Carolina’s electric cooperatives partner with several suppliers, associates, and vendors each year to host a fundraising golf tournament benefiting the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center at 黑料网 Hospitals.
One of the golfers attending this year was the Burn Center’s medical director Dr. Bruce Cairns. In 2013, the co-ops raised a record breaking $123,941.67 and a check in that amount was presented to the Burn Center Advisory Board in February 2014.
North Carolina’s electric cooperatives provide reliable, safe, and affordable energy and related services to more than 950,000 households and businesses in 93 of North Carolina’s counties. Each of the state’s 26 cooperatives is member-owned, not-for-profit and overseen by a board of directors elected by the membership.
