Guidance for the Participation of ºÚÁÏÍø Health Employees or Residents on ºÚÁÏÍø-Chapel Hill Sponsored Research Projects

Request for a ºÚÁÏÍø Health employee to provide services on a ºÚÁÏÍø-CH sponsored research project.

• ºÚÁÏÍø Health employees performing services alike to their daily job duties may be included as a service provider on sponsored research applications being submitted by ºÚÁÏÍø-CH. Note that ºÚÁÏÍø Health employees acting as service providers should not be performing research duties, and no indication of effort will be expressed in the application.
• Before a ºÚÁÏÍø Health employee can be added to the ºÚÁÏÍø-CH grant application, the authorization form below must be completed and signed by the ºÚÁÏÍø Health employee’s supervisor confirming their understanding of services requested. The completed authorization form must be provided to the ºÚÁÏÍø-CH Office of Sponsored Programs or the Sponsored Programs Office, for additional approvals. Once all the approvals have been obtained, the ºÚÁÏÍø Health employee may be added to the sponsored research application being submitted by ºÚÁÏÍø-CH.
• The completed authorization form must be uploaded into the RAMSeS Internal Processing Form (IPF).

Please note: The ºÚÁÏÍø HEALTH employee MUST be included in the proposal budget under other direct costs as they will be treated as a service provider and should not be performing research duties, and no indication of effort should be expressed in the application.
