Which categories of sponsored projects are subject to the new data management fee?
The new data management this service fee is applied to all sponsored projects that fall under the categories of Organized Research (OR), Clinical Trials (CT). These projects are part of the new Core initiative, which aims to support data management across the campus community.
Under what specific conditions does the new Data Management and Sharing Screen appear in the RAMSeS IPF?
The new Data Management and Sharing Screen in the RAMSeS IPF becomes visible under certain conditions. Specifically, it appears when either 01 – Research & Development (R&D) or 05 – Clinical Trial is selected in the Activity Type/Chess Code section, located on the General Info screen of the IPF.
However, please note that there are exceptions to this rule. For instance, the screen will not be displayed if the Award type, on the General Info screen of the IPF, is set to NIH_Grant and the mechanism is categorized as either F-Series or T-Series.

What is the Data Management and Sharing Plan (DMSP) review service at ºÚÁÏÍø?
The Research Data Management Core (RDMC) team at ºÚÁÏÍø offers a DMSP review service to support compliance with funding agencies’ data management and sharing policies. This service, while strongly suggested, is not mandatory. The RDMC team, which includes experts in data management, archiving, computation, information systems, and multiple scientific disciplines, will review your plan for completeness, appropriateness, and compliance. You will receive feedback with recommendations for improving your plan and advice on implementation.
If I choose to utilize the DMSP review service, when should I request a DMSP review?
It is recommended that DMSP reviews be requested at least 3 weeks prior to the funding agency’s proposal submission deadline. This ensures that the RDMC team has sufficient time to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the DMSP and allows you or your project team time for necessary revisions, consultations, and/or quotes for additional services from relevant ºÚÁÏÍø units. Please note that if a DMSP review request is submitted less than 3 weeks prior to the proposal due date, the RDMC team cannot guarantee that the DMSP will receive the full attention necessary to ensure policy compliance.
