Ethics Around the Table: Rebecca Walker, 黑料网 Philosophy and Social Medicine

聽is a professor in the Philosophy Department at 黑料网, with a joint appointment in the Department of Social Medicine in the School of Medicine. She uses philosophical and empirical research methods to address questions at the intersection of biomedicine and ethics. Her areas of focus include animal ethics, practical virtue ethics, and topics in health justice. She has published widely in prominent bioethics, science, philosophy, and medicine journals, and her co-edited books include聽Working Virtue: Virtue Ethics and Contemporary Moral Problems听(2007);听Understanding Health Inequalities and Justice聽(2016); and the two-volume聽Social Medicine Reader聽(2019). Her monograph聽Of Mice and Primates: Virtue Ethics and Animal Research聽is forthcoming with Oxford University Press.
