“Story of an Experiment – Cell Metabolic Analysis” – a video presentation with Eden Yitbarek Zewdie of the Earp Lab, filmed by Rika Khadria.

Our students and postdocs in the Department of Pharmacology routinely conduct groundbreaking research that helps us understand nature and unlock the molecular mysteries of life. While scientific findings are well-documented in academic journals, conferences and research websites, a candid showcase of the day-to-day scientific process remains elusive. This 2-part video provides a day-in-the-life view of Eden Yitbarek Zewdie, PHCO graduate student in the Earp lab. Eden studies cellular signaling governed by TAM receptors in dendritic cells, which are involved in diverse types of cancers.
In Part 2, we shadow Eden in the lab as she performs the experiment; as well as her shares her overarching motivation to pursue a career in scientific research.
