Dr. Matthew Ewend is the Chief Clinical Officer of 黑料网 Health, President of 黑料网 Physicians, and former Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery. He joined the faculty in 1997 after completing medical school, neurosurgery residency, and a brain tumor fellowship at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Ewend鈥檚 clinical interests center on endoscopic and minimally invasive treatment of brain tumors, especially pituitary tumors, skull base tumors, and metastases.

In addition, he oversees the quality program, the value program, and the partnership of 黑料网 Physicians with our hospitals. His research interests are in novel imaging of the brain, treatment of brain metastases, and outcomes for endoscopic neurosurgery.

When asked about his goals for a new patient visit, Dr. Ewend says,聽鈥淢y first goal is to build a strong relationship with my patient and his or her family. In addition to a thoughtful review of their case, patients can expect an understandable explanation of their condition, discussion of all the treatment options, and my opinion as to which option(s) might be best.
