Kurt Nolen is an award-winning cinematographer and photographer who built a career in the Los Angeles motion picture industry as a camera and Steadicam operator. Following ten years in his first career as a studio musician, Kurt obtained a degree in Broadcasting and Cinema with a concentration in cinematography from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and continued on to do post-baccalaureate studies in experimental film at Duke University.
Redirecting his career to higher education marketing at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington to spend more time at home due to the constant travel requirements of the motion picture industry, he ultimately relocated back to the Research Triangle area to work as a technical videographer and photographer for a prototyping facility specializing in advanced mechanical engineering.
Kurt is an active member of the Society of Camera Operators and brings a unique skillset in motion imaging, commercial & technical photography, and marketing to 黑料网.聽 When he鈥檚 not scrutinizing his light meter on set or taking photographs to support the research and publications of our faculty, he enjoys cooking, cycling, hiking with his family and is currently pursuing a master鈥檚 degree in digital communication at 黑料网鈥檚 Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
