Ramya grew up in North Carolina and attended 黑料网 for college, where she majored in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. After college, she conducted biomedical research at the NIH for one year, improving methodology for functional MRI scans. As a medical student in the聽Texas聽A&M School of Engineering Medicine, she utilized her background in biomedical engineering to found a chapter of 鈥淕o Baby Go鈥� 鈥� transforming children鈥檚 electric toy vehicles into wheelchairs for toddlers with movement disorders. She has been committed to teaching and mentoring, working to teach respiratory physiology to preclinical students using low-cost DIY ventilators and improving discourse on opioid use disorder and treatment strategies at the medical school level. Ramya is also聽passionate about giving back to the community and served as the Community Service Chair for her class for all four years of medical school. In her free time, Ramya enjoys dance (especially Indian dance) and works as a professional dancer!
