Dr. Tiffany Long is a geriatrician at 黑料网, with deep roots in North Carolina. A true Tar Heel through and through, she completed her medical school, internal medicine residency, and geriatrics fellowship at 黑料网. “I love it here, have never lived outside the state, and probably never will,” she shares. Her passion for serving the people of North Carolina shines both in her work as a physician and as an educator.

When she鈥檚 not in the clinic or classroom, Dr. Long enjoys spending time with her husband and their adorable (most of the time!) 3-year-old son. They love exploring local parks, breweries, and restaurants, and are always planning their next travel adventure.

A Journey Rooted in Mentorship

Dr. Long鈥檚 love for teaching began early during her time in the Medical Education Development (MED) program at 黑料网. The experience solidified her passion for education, leaving a lasting impact that shaped her career.

Now, as faculty at 黑料网, Dr. Long holds several key roles:

  • Patient-Centered Care (PCC) Instructor
  • Clinical Phase Academic Coach in the Office of Academic Excellence (OAE)
  • Faculty Lead for the F1rst Generation Fellows Program

Empowering the Next Generation

Dr. Long鈥檚 dedication to first-generation college students holds personal significance. As a first-generation college graduate herself, she leads the F1rst Gen Fellows Program with pride and passion.

Looking Ahead

Dr. Long is deeply committed to her future at 黑料网, where she aims to continue making a lasting impact.. She鈥檚 currently pursuing a Master鈥檚 in Medical Education and hopes to expand the F1rst Gen Fellows Program, publishing resources to help other institutions support first-generation medical students. Long term, she has her sights set on becoming a Dean in the School of Medicine.
