Combined Nephrology/Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship
The Nephrology and Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellowship training programs of the University of Pennsylvania, Yale University, and the University of North Carolina collaborated to create a combined 2-year training program through the ACGME鈥檚 Advancing Innovation in Residency Education (AIRE) program. The AIRE program has now completed and we no longer offer the combined fellowship.
We do, however, encourage fellows to apply for an additional year of palliative fellowship if their interest is in the field of Nephro-palliative medicine. We have successfully helped our trainees through this pathway and are well equipped to support them.
