Areas of Interest
Dr. Ossman’s clinical interests include providing and coordinating care of hospitalized patients and integrating geriatric medicine and palliative care medicine into the continuing education of hospitalists. Additionally, he is an active member of the ºÚÁÏÍø Hospital Ethics committee where he has been a lead consultant since 2009 and continues to educate clinicians and residents across departments in clinical bioethics.
About
Dr. Ossman works across a range of ºÚÁÏÍø Hospital Medicine services including the Hospitalist Service, Medicine Consult Service, and Medicine Procedure Service. In this work, he enjoys the opportunity to teach residents and medical students as well as cultivate relationships with vulnerable patient populations. As an educator, he looks to share his skills and his passion for patient care, bioethics, and communication with learners at all levels. Beyond his work as a clinician and an educator, Dr. Ossman’s ongoing efforts with the Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) team support the hospital system and individual departments. As the Lead Physician Advisor to CDI, Paul serves to improve the documentation of our most seriously ill patients to better capture their expected mortality.
