Blood clots, blood thinners, clotting disorders (thrombosis, anticoagulation, thrombophilias); education of patients and health care professionals about these areas of expertise.
About
My clinical interest is coagulation and classical hematology, with a particular focus on thrombosis and anticoagulation. My research interests include clinical trials on new anticoagulants and better use of established anticoagulants. I take a special interest in clinical-medical education of patients, the public, and healthcare professionals and I am a cofounder of the 黑料网 Blood Clot Education Program Clot Connect, at www.clotcotconnect.org. My three main professional goals for the next 5-10 years are (1) enhance the Clot Connect information program, (2) continue to build an 鈥淎thletes and Blood Clot Program鈥�, (3) support trainees in their career development in the field of coagulation/hematology.
