About

Emmy Yang is a current 黑料网 internal medicine resident. Dr. Yang is also a resident service line director for the Division of Geriatric Medicine on Med A at 黑料网 Hospital Hillsborough.聽She is from Atlanta and attended Yale for college where she majored in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. Dr. Yang speaks Chinese, Spanish, and Portuguese.

As a medical student, she received a full scholarship to pursue a two-year Master of Theological Studies with a concentration in medical ethics through Duke University. Her thesis focused on 鈥渁 theological exploration of time and implications on medicine and care for the elderly鈥. During her first year of medical school, Dr. Yang worked as a Spanish interpreter in East Harlem. She has been published in JAGS and Academic Medicine. In addition, Dr. Yang serves as a peer tutor, volunteered as the IM clerkship representative, and continues to serve as a peer mentor for more junior students. Furthermore, she was recognized for her outstanding patient-focused care with induction into the Gold Humanism Honorary Society.

In her spare time, Dr. Yang enjoys ultimate frisbee, visiting farmer鈥檚 markets, cooking, yoga, and running.
