Dr. Friede is an interventional cardiologist with a focus on catheter-based procedures to treat coronary and peripheral artery disease, pulmonary embolism, and cardiogenic shock. In addition to his clinical practice, he is an active physician-scientist with research interest in developing pharmacogenomic strategies to optimize the efficacy and safety of antithrombotic therapies in the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
