Program has been expanded to cover development opportunities year-round!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Information about eligibility and process: SOM Staff Professional Development Grant FY26

The ºÚÁÏÍø Staff Professional Development Grant is being offered to invest in the professional development of the school’s talented and dedicated staff. We strongly encourage staff to apply, and requests will be reviewed by committee. Demand exceed available funds; not all requests will be funded. Those approved will receive grant award letters for the program specified and further reimbursement details.

Eligibility:

  • Permanent, full or part-time SHRA, EHRA/EPS Non-Faculty ºÚÁÏÍø employees
  • Have been with SOM for over 1 year at the time of application.
  • Not eligible: Temporary employees (including Postdocs, student SHRA employment categories); faculty

Program Priorities:

  • Tuition reimbursement for degree programs, certification and development courses are prioritized.
  • Conference travel where staff has been invited to present is prioritized.
  • In order to maximize the number of awards and be good stewards of these limited resources, we recommend that when requesting grants to cover conference attendance, that a virtual option is selected when available.
  • We will not be able to approve grants for international conference travel for this fiscal year.
  • No more than one development program will be considered (e.g. one conference, one certification course) per individual per fiscal year. Those enrolled in degree programs may apply for both cycles after all eligible tuition waiver benefits have been applied. Due to high demand, awards within any given fiscal year are not guaranteed.
