Director for Continuous Quality Improvement and Accreditation
ºÚÁÏÍø has an immediate opportunity to fill the administrative role of Faculty Director for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Accreditation. Reporting to the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, the Director will be responsible for documenting continuous quality improvement initiatives, developing processes for monitoring compliance with accreditation standards, and overseeing the preparation and timely submission of requirements of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). As the next LCME accreditation visit is anticipated to be March 2028, this role will entail 0.4 FTE through FY28 and then may be adjusted over time based on the needs of the role. This individual would ideally be available starting May 1, 2025.
Job Description Summary
Essential Duties:
- Co-Chairs the MD program CQI committee with the Director of the Office of Educational Effectiveness.
- Advises School of Medicine leadership on matters related to LCME, program evaluations, and reviews. Ensures all LCME accreditation requirements are documented and processed in accordance with established timelines, including completion of annual reporting requirements.
- Develops and maintains project management tools to track CQI activities and ensures follow up of action items identified by CQI processes.
- Develops and oversees maintenance of CQI dashboard.
- Contributes, as directed, to the development of policies, procedures, manuals, and other written communications required as supporting documentation for LCME accreditation processes.
- Works in partnership with administrators, staff and committees to ensure alignment of accreditation requirements with CQI processes and the School’s Strategic Plan.
- Leads accreditation/CQI staff in the collection, analysis and synthesis of pertinent accreditation and quality improvement data for communication and required reporting to relevant stakeholders and committees.
- In this role works with the Faculty Accreditation Lead, the institutional expert on accreditation.
Requirements:
- Current faculty member in the School of Medicine.
- Experience with quality improvement
- Experience with the MD program as a teacher and/or administrator.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, collegial manner with a variety of stakeholders, including project staff and faculty from different administrative units and disciplines.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision and in a timely manner with a high degree of quality.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
