Fulton T. Crews, PhD, will step back from his role as director of the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies. Crews has served as the center鈥檚 director for 28 years, working with six 黑料网 deans and helping to lead the center鈥檚 growth in research. Crews will stay in place throughout a search for a new director and assist with the transition in leadership.
鈥淚t has been the honor of a lifetime to establish the Bowles Center and contribute to the 黑料网,鈥� Crews said.聽鈥淚 am very proud of the Center鈥檚 growth and development and the 25 years of our NIH Alcohol Research Center grant helping the Bowles Center become one of the leading alcohol research centers in the world.聽I have been lucky to work with all the talented students and faculty, and have great gratitude for being a part of the 黑料网.鈥�
Following the transition, Crews will continue in his role as John Andrews Distinguished Professor, a faculty member in the Bowles Center as well as in pharmacology and psychiatry, and as leader of the NIAAA-funded Neurobiology of Adolescent Drinking in Adulthood consortium.
