The Department of Health Sciences division suites and the Chair’s suite are now locked 24/7 and are accessible through badge entry only. Each suite has installed a doorbell to allow easier recognition of visitors’ arrival. This allows those working in each suite to know when a visitor arrives and decide if that visitor should be allowed access to the suite. Most of the suites will be available via doorbell between 8AM-5PM EST on weekdays. If you use a suite frequently and need to request ID badge access, please reach out to the Student Services Manager.Ìý
Staring Spring 2024, all Bondurant classrooms now have black-out blinds inside each door window. In case of an emergency or lockdown, occupants should roll down the blinds to disable visibility into the classroom from the outside, ensuring occupants remain out of sight during lockdowns or other safety situations.
Safety Kits
The committee has placed safety kits in each division suite. Faculty members are encouraged to take these kits with them to class. In the event of a lockdown or emergency, the kits contain supplies that may be needed. While faculty members are not required to know how to use every item, the kits increase the chances of providing support during an emergency, with the hope that someone in the class may know how to use the items.
Each safety kit includes:
  • Blackout window cover
  • Rolled gauze for wound packing
  • 2 trauma tourniquets
  • Stop the Bleed instructions
  • Emergency blanket
  • Clotting gauze
  • Scissors
  • Sharpie marker (to note time of tourniquet application)
  • Gloves
  • Tape
  • Duct tape
  • Door stop
  • Webbing (to secure the door from the inside)
  • Location info for Bondurant Hall with AED locations
