Dr. Will Valdar, Associate Professor, Department of Genetics, has received an R35 Maximizing Investigators\u2019 Research Award (MIRA) for his project titled \u201cStatistical Modeling of Multiparental and Genetic Reference Populations\u201d.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The MIRA award mechanism is intended to increase the efficiency of NIGMS funding by providing investigators with greater stability and flexibility to enhance scientific productivity and the chances for important breakthroughs and will provide funding for five years.<\/p>\n
