The laboratory of Dr. Shawn Ahmed (Professor, Genetics and Biology) has published a paper in the 09 November 2024 issue of Aging Cell.
The paper, titled 鈥�.聽 Using C. elegans as a model organism, the data summarized in the paper supports a role for the Argonaute protein PRG-1/piwi in promoting longevity based on the phenomenon of transmission of a form of heritable stress in prg-1 mutant germ cells.聽 Co-first authors of the paper were Bree Heestand, Ben McCarthy, and Matt Simon.
