Assistant Professor Adam J. Kimple, MD, PhD, FACS, FARS聽is named a CO-PI on a聽聽(CZI) grant that provides $33 million in grants to support聽聽to better understand, prevent, and treat childhood diseases. These 17 groups of researchers represent 15 countries and will contribute healthy pediatric single-cell reference data to the global聽聽鈥 a kind of Google Earth view of human cell architecture.
The six 黑料网-Chapel Hill, researchers leading a $3.5-million CZI project titled, 鈥淢apping the Pediatric Inhalation Interface: Nose, Mouth, and Airways鈥 seek to better understand how cells lining the nose, mouth and airways 鈥 as well as their associated fluids such as mucus 鈥 interact to maintain respiratory health or play roles in diseases throughout childhood.
