Why Rhinology?
I was previously in practice in general otolaryngology for six years in New Bern, NC. ÌýDuring that time, I found that I had a deep passion for all things related to the nose and sinuses. Ìý ÌýThis led me to return to training in Rhinology. ÌýI find that we have a tremendous capability to improve someone’s quality of life through nasal and sinus surgery, and I wake up each day excited to help others.
Why ºÚÁÏÍø?
During my time practicing in Eastern North Carolina, I would sometimes come across patients who required a higher level of care than what we could provide locally. ÌýIt quickly became clear that ºÚÁÏÍø’s Department of Otolaryngology not only provided the best surgical care in the region, but also the most patient-centric care. ÌýEverybody, from the office staff to the patient navigators to the surgeons themselves, clearly had a focus on delivering the best care to our patients who we had referred to Chapel Hill. ÌýWhen the time came to pursue a Rhinology fellowship, ºÚÁÏÍø was my top choice.

Fun Fact:ÌýI went to college on a music scholarship, as a trombonist. ÌýI still play from time to time in local groups.
