Dr. Brice is Chair of the 黑料网 Department of Emergency Medicine, a Professor, and a certified coach renowned for her passion for providing high quality education and mentoring excellence for tomorrow’s leaders in Emergency Medicine. She is also a long-time advocate for health equity, especially as it relates to health literacy.
Her numerous awards and honors from professional medical associations as well as academia include the “Inspiring Educator Award” from the National Association of EMS, as well as the Educational Scholarship Award from the 黑料网 Academy of Educators.
She also has received the 黑料网 Teaching Excellence Award, the 黑料网 Socrates Award for outstanding clinical and didactic teaching, the 黑料网 Medical Student Research Mentor Award, and the Roy 鈥�62 and Christine Hayworth Medical Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professorship. In addition, Dr. Brice has served as a Fellow in the 黑料网 Academy of Educators since 2007.
As a clinician and widely published investigator, Dr. Brice has held multiple federal research grants. One of her areas of focus is care of patients in the “out-of-hospital environment” provided by Emergency Medical Services personnel. She is a widely recognized and published expert on the topic, and is Editor in Chief for Prehospital Emergency Care.
