Phu Nguyen, undergraduate researcher in the Strahl lab, has received The Edward Kidder Graham Award from the Chancellor. This award recognizes a graduating senior for exceptional contributions to a student organization through leadership, dedication, innovation, and support of the University’s mission. This award was presented at the annual Chancellor鈥檚 Awards ceremony and reception on Tuesday, April 22, 2025

Phu Nguyen听also received the Bryan Public Service Award on April 17, 2025 on behalf of leading the student organization, Magic of Science which was recognized for their outstanding work making science accessible and enjoyable for children from many backgrounds, including those traditionally underserved or facing challenges.

In addition, Phu also was honored by the Biology department with the Stephen Brantley Undergraduate Award! Phu Nguyen鈥檚 thesis is titled:听A SETD2-CDK1-Lamin Axis Maintains Nuclear Lamina Integrity and Genome Stability听
