Congratulations to Brian Strahl, Professor & Vice-Chair of the Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics, for being selected to receive an R35 Maximizing Investigators鈥� Research Award (MIRA) from the National Institutes of Health.
, Professor of Biochemistry & Biophysics and Oliver Smithies Investigator, has been awarded a 5-Year Outstanding Investigator for his research on gene expression and chromatin regulation. The goal of the MIRA award is to increase the efficiency of NIGMS funding by providing investigators with greater stability and flexibility to enhance scientific productivity and the chances for important breakthroughs.
