DESCRIPTION:At BCBP\, we have organized a special summer seminar series for the undergrad members of our department. We have held this seminar series for the last few summers\, and it is designed to introduce you to other researchers in the department\, help you all meet each other and form a community\, and also get a free lunch! This year we have also added some speakers from grad admissions and local biotech to help answer some questions about what it takes to get into grad school and how life works outside of academia.聽\n\nThese 2025 seminars will take place on Tuesdays from 12 to 1 PM in GMB 3007\, with three sessions in June (10th\, 17th\, 24th\,) and three sessions in July (8th\, 15th\, 22nd).\n\n(June 10 speakers: Drs. DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, June 18th\, from 10-11 in GMB 3007. \nI am hosting a technical seminar from a company called Nuclera\, which makes a high-throughput cell-free protein expression system. It can test solubility tags in a high throughput manner\, with the ability to work on membrane proteins\, as well. My colleagues at the Stowers Institute have demo鈥檇 one and they really like it. If you are interested in hearing more\, the presentation will take place on Wednesday\, June 18\, 2025 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM in Genetic Medicine Building 3007. \n Coffee and bagels will be served.
