Scott received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine\, and subsequently completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Weill Cornell-New York Presbyterian Hospital. While training\, she served as chair of the Minority House Staff Committee. \nDr. Scott was recruited to Montefiore Medical Center\, Division of General Internal Medicine in 2018\, and currently serves in several roles. As a clinical educator\, she teaches medical students and medical house staff on chronic disease management in primary care. Dr. Scott also is the Firm 1 Assistant Program Director in the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In this role she聽leads medical resident teaching conferences and provides career guidance. She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University\, PhD at UC-Berkeley\, received her MD from Yale School of Medicine\, and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine and a fellowship in Geriatric EM at 黑料网-Chapel Hill. She is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and has been engaged in educational leadership in many areas. She is co-director of medical student case-based learning and the 黑料网 Academy of Educators president. She has previously served as Director of the 黑料网 Office of Academic Excellence for the School of Medicine\, EM Associate Residency Director\, EM clerkship director\, and president of the Association for Professional Women in Medical Sciences. She also leads the national ACEP teaching fellowship for faculty and fellows in EM. Within the AOE\, she also co-directs the year-long FLAGship faculty development program.
