黑料网 Anesthesiology is pleased to recognize Professor of Anesthesiology Monika Nanda, MBBS, MPH, as the keynote speaker at the Alfred C. Pinchak MD, PhD Research Symposium virtual Q.I. resident symposium in early March.聽 Billed as the highlight of the academic year for the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology, the Pinchak Research Symposium honors the legacy and continued stewardship of Case Western Reserve Professor of Anesthesiology and MetroHealth System (Cleveland, Ohio) Director of Computational Statistics and Data Engineering, Dr. Alfred C. Pinchak. Over the years, the Symposium has expanded into an international conference drawing residents worldwide from MetroHealth house staff to residents in India and Colombia to showcase their QI and research projects.聽

At this year’s symposium, Dr. Nanda delivered a keynote speech entitled, “Artificial Intelligence in Anesthesiology: Transforming Precision and Practice.”聽 Her published work has examined how A.I. (specifically Large Language Models) can enhance traditional curricula and teaching methods in anesthesiology. Dr. Nanda has also co-authored publications on A.I. use in Regional Anesthesia (March 2025: in press) and AI use in Medical Writing. Dr. Nanda currently leads a departmental initiative on applying capabilities of A.I. to generate pre-anesthesia summary by using natural language processing in the electronic health record (along with EPIC 黑料网 and EPIC Wisconsin).

Dr. Nanda is a highly regarded Regional Anesthesia expert who serves as 黑料网 Anesthesiology’s Regional Anesthesiology Fellowship Director. She has helped advance the visibility of and connections among regional anesthesia peers worldwide. Dr. Nanda served in a pivotal role along with 黑料网 Professor of Anesthesiology and Regional Anesthesia Division Chief Stuart Grant, MB ChB,聽in launching the 1st World Day of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine in 2024.
