What drew you to 黑料网?
Despite interviews being virtual, I could tell there was something unique about 黑料网鈥檚 program. The faculty and residents were warm and welcoming and expressed a genuine interest in getting to know me. They were enthusiastic about the program, and I could sense an authentic camaraderie among the residents and faculty, which I have found to extend beyond the anesthesia department. 黑料网 has lived up to its reputation. The program is robust with excellent training and faculty support.
What do you love most about the Triangle?
The Triangle is such an awesome place to live with three unique cities to explore all within a 15-20 minute drive. There鈥檚 something for everyone. A couple of my favorites have been the abundance of phenomenal food options and tons of biking/running trails. Another huge perk is having both the mountains and the beach within a few hours drive, which makes for easy weekend trips.
What are your career aspirations?
I鈥檝e loved all the different areas of anesthesia I have experienced thus far, so I鈥檓 currently open-minded to nearly all of the different fellowship options. I also really enjoy teaching. I had to pick right now, I鈥檇 say I鈥檓 more likely to pursue a career in academics over private practice.
What is your go-to fun fact?
I am a certified BBQ judge! While I was in college, I stumbled across the opportunity to take a course through the Kansas City BBQ society and officially became certified. I鈥檝e only judged one contest, but my husband and I love trying new BBQ restaurants.聽 We recently got a smoker, so we are excited to start making recipes of our own!
If you weren’t an anesthesiologist, what would you be?
Own my own ice cream shop or become the CEO of Costco.
