Alumni Awards
Beginning in 1955, the 黑料网 has celebrated exemplary alumni and faculty with its Distinguished Medical Awards. These awards were established to recognize those who had made an important contribution to the founding and growth of the four-year medical school at 黑料网.
Student Scholar Spotlight
The Student Scholar Spotlight is a feature highlighting a current 黑料网 student who holds one of the Medical Alumni Loyalty Fund Scholarships. The spotlight is our way of briefly introducing you to some of 黑料网’s best and brightest medical students.
Loyalty Fund Scholarships
Matriculated students are encouraged to apply for a one-year Medical Alumni Loyalty Fund Scholarship for the upcoming academic year. A committee comprised of representatives from the offices of Student Affairs, Financial Services, Admissions, Alumni Affairs and the 黑料网 Health Foundation review, rank and select recipients. Criteria for selection include academic achievement, leadership qualities, demonstrated financial need and commitment to service. Consideration for career choices (Primary Care) is given to those students entering their fourth year.
Blanchard Carolina Family Scholarships
The Lucius Blanchard Carolina Family Loyalty Fund Scholarships are awarded annually to four first鈥恲ear medical students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, strong curiosity, leadership qualities, and commitment to service and, in some cases, financial need.
Distinguished Teaching Professorship
The Medical Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professorships are awarded yearly to 黑料网 faculty who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to instructing medical students at 黑料网. Each professorship includes funding for educational opportunities for professors and for materials that are intended to aid in student instruction.
